Journal Prompts for Reflection After Your Full Moon Meditation
The full moon is often associated with illumination, completion, and release. These prompts are designed to help listeners gently explore what surfaced during the meditation and create space for healing, clarity, and renewal.
1. What am I ready to release?
What thoughts, habits, fears, relationships, expectations, or emotional burdens no longer support the person I am becoming?
Follow-up: What has this burden taught me, and why might it be time to let it go?
2. What have I been carrying that was never mine to carry?
Reflect on responsibilities, guilt, worries, or emotional weight you may have taken on for others.
Follow-up: What would it feel like to set that weight down, even for a little while?
3. Where in my life am I being invited to trust more deeply?
Consider an area where uncertainty, fear, or control has been present.
Follow-up: If I trusted myself, life, or my own inner wisdom just a little more, what might change?
4. What part of myself deserves more compassion right now?
Think about a struggle, mistake, limitation, or wound that you've been judging harshly.
Follow-up: What would I say to a dear friend experiencing the same thing?
5. As I release, what do I want to welcome in?
Imagine creating space within yourself. What would you like to invite into that space?
Examples might include:
- Peace
- Courage
- Rest
- Self-trust
- Joy
- Healing
- Hope
- Acceptance
- Creativity
- Connection
Follow-up: What is one small step I can take to nurture this intention during the coming weeks?
🌙 Gentle Full Moon Affirmations
You might also invite listeners to reflect on these affirmations after journaling:
✨ I release what no longer aligns with my peace.
✨ I honor my journey and trust my unfolding path.

Welcome And Full Moon Theme
SPEAKER_00Welcome to an original guided meditation from Donna God and Healing Our Kindred Spirits Podcast. Beneath the full moon, a guided meditation for releasing healing in a new beginning.
Why The Full Moon Matters
SPEAKER_00Before we begin tonight's meditation, I'd like to take a moment to acknowledge this beautiful full moon. For thousands of years, people have looked up at the full moon with a sense of wonder across cultures, across history. The full moon has been seen as a time of illumination, a moment when what has been hidden becomes visible, and when we are invited to pause and even reflect on our journey. There is something about the light of a full moon that encourages us to slow down and listen more deeply. What feels complete, and what we may be ready to release. Just as the moon moves through the international cycles, so do we. There are seasons in our lives when we are planting seeds and dreaming new dreams. There are seasons when we are growing, learning, and stretching beyond our comfort zone. And there are seasons when we are called to let go when no longer supports our well-being. As we move into this meditation, imagine the moonlight as a soft loving presence, illuminating your path, comforting your heart, and reminding you that healing really happens all at once. Unfold one breath, one choice, and one moment of self-compassion at a time. May this time together bring you peace, may it bring you clarity, and may it bring you comfort. And most of all, may it remind you that wherever you are on your journey, you are exactly where you need to be right now.
Safety Note And Settling In
SPEAKER_00As a reminder, this meditation is meant to support your emotional and spiritual well-being, but it is not a substitute for medical, psychological, or mental health care. Please listen in a way that feels safe and supportive to you, and please do not listen while doing anything that requires your full attention. Let's begin.
Breathwork And Body Relaxation
SPEAKER_00Begin by allowing your body to settle comfortably. You may wish to place one hand over your heart or soften your palms beside you and adjust your receiving and letting go. And when you're ready, take a slow deep breath in through your nose and gently exhale it through your mouth. Again, slowly breathing in, allowing the lungs to expand softly, and breathing out, letting the shoulders release. One more time, a deep inhale and exhale slowly, as though the body itself is beginning to sigh with relief. Now allow your breathing to return to a natural rhythm. Soft, easy, not forced. With every breath, allow your body to sink just a little deeper into comfort and support. Relax the muscles around your eyes, unclench your jaw, and soften your neck. Allow your shoulders to drop away from your ears, releasing the invisible weight they may have been carrying today. Feel relaxation moving slowly down your arms, into your hands, through your chest, your abdomen, your hips, your legs, all the way down to the soles of your feet. It's as if a gentle wave of moonlight is washing over your body, quieting everything that no longer needs to be tense.
Visualizing The Moonlit Path
SPEAKER_00Now imagine yourself standing outside beneath a vast night sky. The air is cool but comforting. The world around you is quiet, still, and somehow sacred. Above you, the full moon glows brilliantly in the darkness. Large, silver, radiant. Its light spills softly across the earth like a liquid pearl. You notice how beautiful everything feels beneath this moonlight. The trees swaying gently in the breeze, the shimmer of grass slippered by the night, the sound of crickets singing softly in the distance. You begin walking slowly along a peaceful path, illuminated only by moonlight. With each step, you feel yourself moving farther away from any noise, away from pressure, from expectations, and moving closer to yourself, closer to truth, closer to stillness, and closer to peace.
Entering The Sacred Fire Clearing
SPEAKER_00Ahead of you you notice a small clearing. And the center of the clearing is a beautiful fireball made of stone and crystal. Its gentle flames dancing in gold and amber beneath the full moon sky. It is one of the most beautiful things you've ever seen. This fire is safe. It is sacred. It's transformative. It's a place of release. You slowly sit beside it, feeling the warmth against your skin while the cool moonlight gently rests across your shoulders.
Naming What You Are Carrying
SPEAKER_00And now I want you to gently become aware of what you may have been carrying. Not with judgment, not with shame, but only awareness. Perhaps it is fear, perhaps it is grief, perhaps resentment, or maybe even exhaustion. It could be old wounds, self-criticism, heartbreak, pressure, or anxiety. Could be a story about yourself that no longer feels true. You do not need to force anything to appear. Simply notice what rises naturally within you tonight. And as you sit beside the sacred fire, imagine each thing you are ready to release taking form in your hands. Maybe it appears as words written upon paper, maybe stones, smoke, chains, heavy fabric, dark clouds, whatever your spirit creates is perfectly for you. Take a moment now to silently acknowledge what you are ready to let go.
Releasing Burdens Into The Fire
SPEAKER_00And when you feel ready one by one, place each burden gently into the fire. Watch as the flames receive it without resistance. The fire does not judge what you carried, it simply transforms it. See fear dissolving into sparks of light, see grief softening into smoke that rises toward them. See shame unraveling, see heaviness lifting from your chest. You no longer need to hold everything alone, and with every release, feel your body becoming lighter, breathing easier, expanding more fully.
Moonlight Healing And New Beliefs
SPEAKER_00Imagine the moon above you glowing even brighter now, its silver light pouring down around you just like healing water. This moonlight washes over your forehead, your throat, your heart, your entire body, and as it does, it fills the empty spaces left behind by what you released. Not with fear, but with compassion, with gentleness, with clarity, and with peace. You begin to realize letting go is not losing part of yourself. Sometimes letting go is how we return to ourselves. Now imagine this moonlight gathering around your heart center. Soft silver light, warm and luminous, and within this light, you hear gentle words rising from deep within your spirit. I am allowed to release what no longer nurches me. I do not need to carry every wound forever. I honor the lessons without forcing myself to remain in the pain. I am worthy of peace. I am worthy of rest. I am worthy of beginning again. Allow those words to settle into your heart tonight. Not as pressure to subtly heal everything, but as permission. Permission to soften, to evolve, and to stop abandoning yourself. Now notice how the night around you feels different. The air feels clearer, the sky brighter, your body lighter somehow. You realize the moon has not taken away your humanity, your memories, or your doubt. It has simply reminded you that you do not have to keep carrying what is already asking to be released. Let's sit with that for a moment. The fire beside you slowly softens into glowing embers. You place your hand gently over your heart, feeling your own steady breathing beneath your palm. And above you, the full moon shines brilliantly, quietly witnessing your release, witnessing your courage and your becoming. Take one final deep breath beneath this moonlight and exhale slowly.
Returning Lighter And Closing Blessing
SPEAKER_00And as you prepare to leave this sacred space, imagine yourself walking back along the moonlit path. But this time, you are not carrying the same heaviness that you arrived with. There is more space within you now. More softness, more breath, more light, and perhaps even the smallest flicker of hope. And before we close tonight, may you remember that healing is not always loud or dramatic. Sometimes healing is simply the quiet decision to stop carrying what is hurting your spirit. May this full moon remind you that release is sacred. May you trust yourself enough to let go of what no longer aligns with your peace. And may you move forward gently with compassion for the parts of you still learning, still healing, and still becoming. You are not behind, you are not broken, and you do not have to walk this journey alone. Thank you for sharing this sacred space with me tonight on healing our kindred spirits.
Journaling Prompts And Final Affirmation
SPEAKER_00And if this meditation resonated with you, you may wish to spend a few quiet moments journaling afterwards. We have provided some journal prompts in the episode description. It's where you can reflect on what you released beneath the full moon and what your heart is now ready to welcome in. And I would like to leave you with this powerful affirmation. I am worthy of healing. I am worthy of rest. I am worthy of peace. I am worthy of new beginnings. And I am enough exactly as I am. Until next time, remember you are never too much, and you are always, always enough. Namaste,
