A Mindfulness Meditation for Peace During Mercury Retrograde, Eclipse and Full Moon

🌿 Reflection & Awareness

What emotions surfaced for me during this meditation that I may have been avoiding?

Is there a conversation, situation, or decision in my life that feels ready for review rather than reaction?

Where have I been responding quickly instead of responding thoughtfully?

What feels illuminated in my life right now — even if it feels uncomfortable?

🌑 Release & Letting Go

What am I carrying that may not belong to me?

If I could gently release one emotional weight during this eclipse season, what would it be?

Is there an old story about myself that feels ready to be rewritten?

🌕 Self-Compassion & Nervous System Care

What helps my nervous system feel safe and grounded?

If I slowed down by 20% this week, what would change?

What would it look like to respond with kindness toward myself during this season?

🌬 Communication & Mercury Retrograde Reflection

Is there something I need to say — or something I need to wait before saying?

Where could I practice clearer, softer communication?

What misunderstandings in my life might benefit from patience instead of urgency?

💛 Peace & Intention

What does peace feel like in my body?

What daily ritual could help me stay grounded during intense seasons?

Where can I choose compassion instead of control?

What small act of kindness can I offer myself this week?

What intention would I like to carry forward as this eclipse energy unfolds?

Welcome & Safety Setup

SPEAKER_00

Welcome. This is an original companion-guided meditation created by Donna Gardette from Healing Our Kindred Spirits Podcast. Before we begin, please find a quiet and comfortable place where you can sit or lie down safely. If you are driving or doing anything that requires your attention, please come back to this meditation later. This is a time for grounding, a time to steady your nervous system, a time to come home to yourself, take a soft breath in, and let it go slowly. Allow your eyes to gently close if that feels comfortable. Bring your awareness to your feet. Notice where they meet the floor or where they rest. Without forcing anything, invite your feet to soften, let your toes unclench. Let the soles relax. Now bring awareness to your lower legs. If you notice any tension, imagine it melting downward like a warm light blowing toward the earth. Move gently to your knees, your thighs, allowing heaviness to settle in a comforting way. Allow your hips to soften, let your lower back release, let your belly soften, don't hold it, don't grace it. Just let it relax. Take a slow breath in through your nose and exhale through your mouth. Let your shoulders drop away from your ears, soften your arms, your hands, loosen your fingers, relax your neck, unclench your jaw, let your tongue rest gently in your mouth, smooth the space between your eyebrows. Your whole body is now resting, supported, and safe. Imagine now that beneath you is steady earth. Even if you are indoors, imagine roots extended gently from the soles of your feet downward, slow, steady, and grounded. During Mercury retrograde, when communication feels tangled, during a full blood moon, when emotions feel illuminated, during an eclipse, when change feels sudden. You remain rooted, and you see these roots reaching deeper into the earth. The earth is calm, the earth is patient, the earth is not rushed. Silently repeat, I am grounded, I am steady, I am safe at this moment. Now above you, imagine a gentle moonlight, not harsh, not overwhelming, just a soft silver glow. Even during a blood moon eclipse, the moon does not disappear. It is simply moving through shadow. And so are you. If something has surfaced recently, an old memory, an emotion, a doubt, imagine placing it into the moonlight. Not to fix it, not to judge it, just to see it clearly. Take a breath, say softly within, I allow clarity without fear, I can witness without absorbing, and not everything requires action. Now bring your attention back to your breath. Inhale slowly for count of four, one, two, three, four, hold it gently for two, one, two, and exhale for six. One, two, three, four, five, six. Let's do that again. Inhale for four. Hold and exhale for six. Longer exhale signal safety to your nervous system. You are not in danger. You are simply in the season of reflection. As you continue breathing, allow these affirmations to gently settle into your heart. I move through this season with patience. I do not rush clarity. I choose thoughtful words. I choose gentle responses. Peace begins within me. Kindness begins within me. I release what is not mine to carry. I soften my reactions. I trust divine timing. I am allowed to slow down. Feel into whichever affirmation resonates most deeply right now. Let it anchor into your chest like a warm light. If you've been feeling overwhelmed lately, imagine that some of what you're carrying is simply not yours. See it as a mist around your shoulders. On your next exhale, let it drift away. You do not need to carry the collective. Repeat slowly and softly. Compassion without depletion, awareness without overwhelm, presence without pressure. Now bring both hands gently over your heart. Feel the warmth of your own touch. During intense cosmic seasons, the most powerful grounding tool is self-kindness. Say quietly, I am doing the best that I can. I allow myself rest. Feel that truth. Begin to deepen your breath slightly. Wiggle your fingers, wiggle your toes, feel the room around you. You are here. You are grounded. You are steady even when the sky appears to shift. As Mercury retrograde invites review, as the full blood moon illuminates truth, as the eclipse moves through shadow, you remain rooted in peace. When you're ready, gently open your eyes, and if it feels supportive, spend a few minutes journaling. You can also find journal props at the end of this episode description as well. Ask yourself, what surfaced for me tonight? What feels ready to be released? Where in my life can I respond more gently instead of reacting quickly? What does peace look like for me right now? Move through this season slowly, move through it kindly, and most of all move through it rounded. May you move through this time with a steady heart, and may the shifting skies remind you that shadow does not mean loss, it means transformation. May what rises to the surface be met with compassion and not criticism. May your words be thoughtful, may your pauses be wise, and may your silence restore you. As Mercury slows the mind, may you slow your breath. As the moon passes through shadow, may you remember that your light remains. May you release what is not yours to carry, may you soften what feels hardened. May you trust what is quietly unfolding. May peace settle into your nervous system. May kindness begin with you, and may you feel guided, grounded, and protected. And when the world feels loud or uncertain, may you return to this simple truth. You are here, you are safe, you are enough. May this season bring clarity without fear, change without chaos, and growth without force. And may you walk gently forward, rooted in love, anchored in peace, and guided by your own inner light. Thank you.
