Healing Our Kindred Spirits
The Journey of Healing Our Kindred Spirits: Season One Finale and Future Vision
Closing out Season One of Healing Our Kindred Spirits, I reflect on my journey from uncertainty to clarity about the podcast's direction. Through nearly 20 episodes, I've discovered that creating meaningful connections happens when I lead with my heart and honor the power of storytelling.
• Embracing the identity of a "storytelling podcaster" after initially resisting labels
• Creating a safe space where sensitivity is valued, especially for empaths and deep feelers
• Season Two will launch in late September with deeper conversations about angels, spirit guides, intuition, and energy work
• Developing a new website with resources to complement each episode including journal prompts and guided meditations
• Creating a Substack account by year-end for blogs and newsletters as another way to connect
• Future plans include live call-in episodes, virtual events, and expanding our YouTube presence
• Committing to consistent weekly episodes while honoring the challenges of chronic pain

Hello, kindred spirits. I'm Donna Gaudet and I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for being here and for listening to Healing Our Kindred Spirits. When I started this podcast last December, I had no idea what I was doing or where the path would lead, but over these past 19 episodes, along with original guided meditations I've shared, I've learned so much. If there's one thing this journey has shown me, it's that what you begin with isn't always what you end up with. Along the way, you discover strengths you didn't know you had, new perspectives and countless opportunities to empower, enlighten and inspire. So here we are, are closing out season one, and we'll be taking a short hiatus, a short break, as I prepare for season two, which will launch in late September. After recording nearly 20 episodes, I feel much clearer about the direction this podcast is meant to take, and that's through trial and error. The episodes that resonated most with you all were the ones that encouraged reflection, opened up conversations about the body, mind and spirit, as well as the soul, and helped us pause long enough to notice both the seen and the unseen around us. That's the path I want to continue walking with you. I'm also taking a leap of faith with a simple rebrand and not renaming the podcast, but changing the podcast cover artwork and shifting a couple of things. But the shift is it's focused more intentionally. My vision is for healing our kindred spirits to be both a mental escape and a safe landing place, a space where you feel supported, empowered and inspired.
Speaker 1:At first I wasn't sure what it meant to be called a storyteller podcast, but now I understand. I don't like labels but I have been told through a number of listeners that I had a storytelling podcast and I didn't know what that meant at first and I wasn't sure if I should feel offended. But as I did a deeper dive into it and it was my own inclination of myself, comparing myself to other podcasts, people who do podcasts, podcast people who do podcasts and I learned that I don't have to be like everyone else. I don't have to have a guest on every episode, I don't have to be constantly on all the time. I just have to lead with my heart. You know when you see recipes and it says, measure with your heart. When I create an episode, I create it with my heart. So now I understand what that storytelling podcaster label means.
Speaker 1:It means that I tell a story and I use experiences, especially personal ones, and through sharing personal stories and life lessons, and even my mistakes, we create a connection. We remind each other that none of us are alone in what we're going through. It's a fact that the world is noisy, it's overwhelming and for many of us who are have, maybe, are empaths or have a lot of empathy very sensitive whatever way you want to call it. I don't like to use labels, but especially for sensitive souls, empaths, people who feel deeply, this podcast is meant to be a place where your sensitivity is not only honored but valued, and there is still so much to talk about. Many of you have asked about angels connecting with spirit guides, building intuition and working with crystals or rheumotherapy in meaningful ways. You want to know how Reiki and energy therapy can support you and how you can protect your precious energy in a demanding world. I played it safe in season one, mostly out of fear of being judged, but season two is where I step fully into what I love to talk about Expect deeper conversations, powerful guests with extraordinary stories and explorations of both the physical and the metaphysical.
Speaker 1:And to support this next chapter, we're also launching a brand new website with a library of resources that will complement each episode. So if you listen to the episode and you want to continue knowing more or how can it support you even after you're done listening, there'll be things like journal prompts, recommendations, projects, guided meditation, neuromotherapy project that we talked about, it'll be a recipe for it Be guided meditations and so much more. And because I know many of you love to read, I'll also be creating a Substack account at the end of this year where you'll find blogs, newsletters and another way to feel connected and inspired. And if you're new to Substack, like I was a few months ago, it is phenomenal and it is free. So Substack is a publishing platform where you can create posts or stories that feel like a blog, or articles, personal letters, updates, and send them straight to your subscribers inboxes, if you choose to subscribe, or just read them right online. And it's also a community hub where readers can comment, share and engage with the content in a more intimate setting than just traditional social media, because not everyone consumes podcasts regularly.
Speaker 1:So by pairing episodes with blog posts, reflections or even posting the transcripts from the episodes, I'm sure I can reach many of you who prefer reading and give you a way to connect with what we do and what we talk about, and there'll be journaling prompts, like I've been creating for the episodes. There'll be extended thoughts or stories that maybe didn't fit into the episode, stories that maybe didn't fit into the episode. There'll be exclusive guided meditations, reflections, even a listener Q&A or even community spotlights. So Substack can be the bridge that ties everything together. It will tie together the storytelling, the guided meditations, the spiritual reflections in a way that feels interactive and supportive. So imagine that every podcast episode is paired with a beautiful written companion piece that lands straight into your inbox, along with journal prompts, quotes or even behind the scenes insights. And again, you don't have to sign up for the newsletter, you don't have to do anything. You can read it online. It's just an extra thing, an extra bonus that goes along with the podcast episode.
Speaker 1:And, because I love giving you a sneak peek, here's a glimpse of what's on our wishlist for late 2025 and early 2026. We're planning to do some live call-in episodes exactly how that sounds. As I am doing the podcast, we're going to also invite people to call in with questions, join in in many life coach sessions or even maybe even receive an intuitive guidance reading, and we're also going to be looking at doing some virtual events that'll be hosted in our private Facebook group weekly live intuitive guidance readings, and we're in the process of putting all of our episodes on YouTube and we're an audio only podcast, but that could change in 2026. I don't think I have enough confidence to do a video podcast, so it'll be all of our audio podcasts, will be on all our episodes and with that we're going to be enhancing our YouTube channel with more guided meditations and all the past podcast episodes and the recordings of our live events. So it'll be a one place that you can just go and get everything and we're hoping to do a more consistent rhythm where a new podcast episode will be delivered every week.
Speaker 1:I know in the past, this past year, it's been challenging at times because, as I mentioned in my very first episode, I deal with chronic pain and chronic illness and there are some days and some weeks that is very difficult to focus on creating an episode, writing it, because when I do an episode, I research, I write, I create, I record, I edit, I get it out there. So there's a lot of steps to that and when you deal with chronic pain, sometimes those days take over and the list of intentions that you have just doesn't always come to be, and I had to learn to honor that process. So, even though I tried to make consistent episodes, sometimes that wasn't always the case. But I'm going to try harder, try to be better with that. And even though our last couple of episodes were a little bit longer, I'm going to try to go back to a shorter format and see how that goes. Let me know what you prefer.
Speaker 1:And through all of this, our goal always remains the same to offer stories, guidance, wisdom drawn from a lifetime of experiences, so you can feel inspired and encouraged and, most of all, feel heard, because when we share what we're going through, the weight becomes a little lighter.
Speaker 1:Life is hard, yes, but along the way we can find tools and practices, and maybe even perspectives that help us feel more in control, more connected and maybe even a little bit more hopeful. So, my dear kindred spirits, I cannot wait to come back for season two at the end of September, with new stories, new voices and a renewed commitment to helping us all navigate this often complex human experience together.
