Speaker 1:

Welcome to Healing Our Kindred Spirits. I'm Donna Gaudette and I'm so grateful you found our podcast. If you have listened to prior episodes, you know that I get real with topics and issues that many of us are going through and provide ideas and even some solutions to help you navigate them. It's not a roadmap to a resolution, but it's a guide to help you with what you may be experiencing, or what I like to call the human experience. I wanted to give you a quick update on our episodes for February and before I start, I just wanted to say you know what? January has been a very long month and I know many people have reached out to me and said the same thing when is it going to be done? When is January going to be over? But it's done, so now we can move on. I'm very excited to be planning four episodes for February and my intention is to release one per week on a Thursday.

Speaker 1:

Now, even with the best of intentions, things go awry, and I had that happen to me for January. I had the intention for January to release one episode a week and unfortunately, life had other ideas that sidelined me, with some brief illnesses as well as some really difficult pain days where I wasn't 100%, and if you've ever experienced chronic, debilitating pain repeatedly, you understand what that feels like. There are some days that you can function. There are some days that you can barely put your underwear on, and if you have those days, I get it, I'm with you, I understand. So just be patient with me. If an episode is late or isn't coming out as scheduled, it will be there. It's just that I may not have felt well enough to go ahead and record and edit an episode, and I promised in our first episode that this podcast was going to be as real and as authentic as possible, because that's who I am. What you see is what you get the flaws, the emotions and even allowing myself to be vulnerable when talking about something so personal. And if you've listened to prior episodes, you know that when something I'm talking about a sharing story that's personal to me, my emotions do bubble up, and I don't apologize for that, because in life we have emotions, we have feelings. In life we can't edit out how we feel. We just can't do that. And so I wanted our podcast to be really real and authentic, and so those little, little incidences where I will get emotional. It's who I am, and if I was to edit that out of the podcast, I don't think it would have the impact that it does. And again, I don't over edit, as I want it to be a real conversation. I don't have a team of people to edit and produce, it's just me, but that's how I like it.

Speaker 1:

I wanted to also take a moment to let you know how grateful I am for all of you who have listened so far and have reached out to me, either through our Facebook group page, dm or email. From your messages, I know I am on the right path with this podcast and, even though I was having many trepidations about doing it, I feel so glad that I took that leap and did it Because, even though I still have reservations, every time I record and release an episode, I send it out with love, because it is crafted with love, it is recorded with love, it is edited with love and then I just send it out there and whoever needs to hear it will hear it. And I really do appreciate and continue to appreciate all of your kind words and messages. And even though I had high hopes and careful expectations when I started the podcast, it has already surpassed my expectations in more ways than I thought possible and I am so humbled and grateful by this experience possible. And I am so humbled and grateful by this experience and I want you to know that when you reach out to me to share your story, ask a question or recommend a topic for an episode, I hear you, I value your time and I will respond as quickly as I can, and I appreciate and enjoy hearing from you. Please keep that up and when, and please know that when you do share a story with me or something you're going through, I hear you and I respect what you have gone through or going through, and when you give me permission to share, I will always protect your words, your story and keep your identity private, unless you tell me it's okay to share. I am honored for what you are willing to share and I hope you'll all continue to do that. And that's what makes this podcast so different. It's not only driven by the topics I feel are relevant, but by what you want to learn more about, and with that, I wanted to give you a quick rundown for February.

Speaker 1:

I don't have titles of the podcast yet because that comes to me after I record them, but we do have the following topics planned for February and I'm going to try to do this each month of giving you an insight of what's coming up. So for February, one of the episodes is going to be how feeling your emotions can help you heal your life and how, in order to heal, you must first feel. And another episode is going to be why past events and old wounds still have power over us and how to reconcile them. Another episode will be about reinventing yourself at any stage in your life, because it's never too late to be a different version of when life changes happen. And then the final episode will be turning struggles and adversity into strength and embracing new opportunities. And we also have a guest or two planned, and we're excited about that as well. And if you would like to share your ideas or your personal experience with any of those topics, please reach out to me.

Speaker 1:

This podcast is about everyone, for everyone and for all we go through in life. After all, we are kindred spirits. And just for March, a little insight we're going to do a theme episode for the month of March. I've been guided to do this and from your emails, your direct messages, I've been hearing this is something that is really affecting a lot of people right now. So in March we will be just discussing the topic of grief, and this is very personal to me.

Speaker 1:

We will devote episodes to different types of grief and losses, such as the loss of a spouse or significant other, the loss of a child, loss of a parent, sibling, the loss of a beloved pet, a significant other, the loss of a child, loss of a parent, sibling, the loss of a beloved pet, and we'll also do an episode on when we need to grieve a part of our life that is over, whether through a job loss, health crisis, financial, anything. We have to grieve through that. So we do have a lot scheduled for March and there's something else we're going to be doing in March I'll get to in a minute and I'm also excited to bring on some guests as well and to read messages and emails that I receive to help you. Wherever you are in the grieving process and whether your loss was 20 years ago or 20 minutes ago, I know you will be able to find something that will resonate with you and maybe hopefully help you heal a little bit or help the healing process. And again, please feel free to reach out and share your story with me and if you would like to be a guest on an episode, let me know. Many people can heal from what we share, when we know, when they know that they are not going through it alone. When we have something to share, someone else can get. They know that they are not going through it alone. When we have something this year, someone else can get something from that and they can maybe start the healing process themselves.

Speaker 1:

So when I started the Facebook group page, it was my intention to interact with all of our kindred spirits to help one on one when I could. I'm excited to let you know that, starting in March, we will have Meditation Mondays. I will be releasing a short guided original meditation that I'll release on Mondays. It will be in the podcast episode list, where you get these episodes, and also on our Facebook group page, and it's also going to be in our YouTube channel that I'm still working on, but you can still access it. The meditations will be around 8 to 12 minutes long and because I am writing each one, they're going to be very different and very unique for what we're going through at this time in life, and I have been told that my voice can be soothing and grounding and, with my training and experience in hypnotherapy, I hope that could be to the advantage. To help with these simple and empowering guided meditations and just to give you a little bit of insight some future things that I'm working on, but I don't have a start date yet. But I want you to start getting excited about them.

Speaker 1:

We're going to be doing weekly recorded guided sessions that will give a brief insight and helpful guidance for the week ahead, and this will be video. I will not be on the video, but you will hear me. But we will do some weekly guided sessions using tools that we have, and we're also going to be doing some Facebook Live mini spiritual life coaching sessions and or mini intuitive guidance readings. Many of you who have saw me in the past when I had my private healing practice would come to see me for different sessions and I've stopped doing them when I got very sick in 2017. And I am not going to continue them.

Speaker 1:

I'm not going to have I do not have, nor will I ever have a healing practice again, but I feel like, in this small format of reaching out and doing little mini live readings or coaching sessions, it may be helpful for some of you, and we're also going to be doing Facebook Live to answer any questions about an episode we release that month. And again, you'll only be able to access the information and handouts if you join our Healing Our Kindred Spirits podcast group page, and it's free. Everything that I'm going to be offering on there in the future is free. Nothing is paid, nothing you need to do a subscription for. Everything is free.

Speaker 1:

It's my opportunity to help other kindred spirits and that's what I'm here for. The link for that and the YouTube channel links will be in the episode description for that and the YouTube channel links will be in the episode description. And, as always, you can always privately reach out to me by email at healingourkindredspirits at gmailcom. And again, we are all kindred spirits going through this human experience together and it's not easy, especially right now, where so many things are going on in the world. We need other kindred spirits. There's no need for us to go through things alone when there is an opportunity out there to connect with other people who may be going through some of the things that you're going through. So, as a reminder, just be kind to yourself and others and try to make good choices that align with you for your highest and greatest good. I thank you for your time and I can't wait till we meet again.
